Our Baseball and Softball coaching staff have many years of combined experience. They have played at the top level and have coached at the collegiate level as well as coached select baseball teams for many age groups. All of our staff members are available for private lessons in baseball and softball.


Krizan was named a recipient of the 2013 Rawlings Gold Glove Award today. Krizan was selected as the award winner among all left fielders from the 10, full-season Minor Leagues across the country.Jason was the SABR Metroplex Player of the Year and was Drafted in the 8th round (256 overall) by the Detroit Tigers. Krizan has appeared in many spring training big league games with the Tigers and is currently assigned to the Class A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and joins Diamond Athletics each off season for private lessons, clinics and birthday parties.

Bio for Dallas Baptist University

Freshman Year

Played in 39 games total, 25 of them started at first base. Hit .288 with 8 doubles and 3 home runs with 19 RBI. Appeared in the first regional in DBU history

Sophomore Year

Played in 53 games, started in 51 games. Led the team in hitting with a .389 batting average and RBI with 74. Had 20 doubles and 16 home runs. ABCA/Rawlings 3rd team All American

Junior Year

Played in every game in the outfield. Hit .356 with 20 doubles and 11 home runs with 57 RBI

Senior Year

Was top 10 in the nation in 9 statistical batting categories: RBIs (81), total bases (173), average (.413), RBI per game , slugging percentage (.700), total runs (63), hits (102), doubles (39), and doubles per contest (.63). Had a .413 overall batting average. Broke an NCAA record for most doubles in as season with 39. Was Nationally recognized by many different baseball organizations including:

Consensus 1st team All American

  • First Team All‐American – ABCA/Rawlings

  • First Team All‐American – Baseball America

  • First Team All‐American – Louisville Slugger

  • First Team All‐American – National Collegiate Baseball Writers

  • First Team All‐American – Perfect Game


Joe grew up in Robinson, Texas where he went on to earn four letters for the Rocket baseball team.  He played at NAIA school SAGU in Waxahachie, Texas after beginning his collegiate career at Mary-Hardin Baylor.   After using up his eligibility Davila went on to serve as a Graduate Assistant working with hitters, catchers, and first basemen. Joe has been coaching and doing private instruction for 10 plus years now in the Central Texas area. He also spent 6 seasons with  BLBA where he served as Head Coach and Roving Instructor.  Joe has had players go onto play collegiate baseball including 11 NCAA D-1, 5 NCAA D-2, 15 NCAA D-3, 14 JUCO, and 11NAIA baseball.  Joe also has 5 ladies playing softball at the college level as well as current softball ladies being recruited by the likes of Baylor,  University of Texas, UMHB, Texas A&M, Tarleton State, Texas State, Louissiana -Lafayette, LSU, Oklahoma State, MCC, Temple, and UCLA.

Joe has been married to his wife Katrina since October of 2016 and they have a son Brooks Durham.

He also works for MHMR of Waco as the Family Youth engagement Coordinator.
